Although “The Nun II” does a good job weaving together its cinematic subjectivity with enticing storytelling early on, the action takes too long to build up, only to leave audience members discontented and desiring a bit more terror.

Once separated from the marketing, the music is about as plastic and incorporeal as Barbie herself. 

Ultimately, “Space Jam: A New Legacy” fouls nearly every bit of its potential: as a heartwarming family film, as a comedy, even as an iconic pop culture moment.

In short, every film studio’s theatrical release calendar will be in a state of costly limbo for the foreseeable future, and the film industry will feel the ramifications of that limbo for at least months to come. 

With this week’s episode, we have to jump right into the drama again and vaguely remember what went on a whole seven days ago.

It is not enough to say that an LGBTQ+ character’s sexual orientation doesn't need to be addressed because “gay people just look like ... people.”

Though “Kong: Skull Island” isn’t perfect, its exhilarating visuals make the film’s flaws easy to overlook. The film is essentially a theme park ride in cinematic form, which isn’t a bad thing if done well.
