Transfer Admission Guarantee

The UC Transfer Admission Guarantee program, or TAG, guarantees California community college students entry into participating university schools if they satisfy all admission requirements. Currently, the Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara campuses participate in the program.

ASUC senators discussed upcoming projects with campus administration and passed new resolutions at the weekly Senate meeting Wednesday.

Initiatives focused on expanding the UC’s transfer admission guarantee program in the 2023-2024 state budget are under discussion amongst California lawmakers. 

The UC system announced the launch of the UC Dual Admission pilot program Sept. 16, introducing a new transfer pathway for California high school students beginning next spring.

UC Berkeley junior Osirus Polachart is running independently for ASUC Senate to change the campus admissions process, reform housing and provide undocumented students with additional support and services.
