For many of us, the Disney princes (and other leading men) served the role of being our first crushes. Aside from their looks, their charismatic personalities and funny lines elevated our favorite childhood movies. Here’s the Clog’s power ranking of our favorite Disney princes as boyfriends. 

More often than not, there is an undercurrent of consistency among the way these villains look, act and speak. One that just so happens to look a lot like marginalized communities.

If I could somehow insert a heavy sigh here, I would, because it amazes me how intolerant we still are — it is 2019 and we can’t seem to accept a Black Ariel without it being controversial.

The San Francisco Symphony performed the live film score of “The Little Mermaid,” set to a screening of the film, on Friday night at Davies Symphony Hall.

This summer, the San Francisco Symphony continues its Film Series with live performances of music from “The Little Mermaid” and the original “Star Wars.”
