Super Smash Con 2023 was a display of top-tier Smash from players from across the world. As the second half of the 2023 season unfolds, the community will continue to watch and see who can stay consistent and make leaps in the final rankings.

This week a slew of international talent traveled to join Mexico’s slew of hidden bosses at Smash Factor X in Mexico City, and viewers from across the globe were, once again, treated to a Sonix vs. Sparg0 duel to end the tournament.

Acola won the tournament after only losing a single game the entire day. Despite it being Acola’s first major tournament in over a month, it sure didn’t look like the Steve main missed a step.

MaesumaTOP#13, the bimonthly Japanese Ultimate tournament series that consistently attracts multiple top players from across Japan, took place this past weekend and it did not disappoint.

Despite the tournaments being stacked with a multitude of top-20 players and previous winners, R.O.B. main Zomba managed to capture his first-ever major tournament win without losing any sets.

Despite a lack of cooperation and backing from Nintendo themselves, tournaments held around the world still manage to bring in prominent esport team sponsors, dish out thousands of dollars in prizes and captivate fans of all ages and backgrounds.

The following games will make you laugh, cry and reevaluate your friendships, but will make an unforgettable night for anyone involved.
