I struggled to surrender myself to my femininity; without realizing it, I was bringing the defensiveness I met the outside world with into our studio.

Instead of treating queer sex and relationships as something normal and human, these straight women treat queer men in sexual or romantic acts like a guilty pleasure, which contributes to their dehumanization.

When a woman wants to have casual sex, do we need a term for it? Are phrases like “hoe phase” or “hot girl summer” attempts to justify our sex lives?

People often say there is so much you can learn from strangers. I’ve found that to be especially true in having sex with them.

I quickly came to learn that the “s-word” was something to tip-toe around at home, something we acted like didn’t exist, that was fully off-limits.
