Following Joel Brown and Kuany Kuany’s transfer announcements, senior Lars Thiemann and sophomore Sam Alajiki are entering the transfer portal as well.

In a game that was truly reflective of their year, the Bears just did not have it in them to compete with Washington State. The Bears finished the season with an all-time low 3-29 record, going 2-18 in Pac-12 play and ending the year on a 16-game losing streak.

Unsurprisingly, the Bears dropped their final two games of the regular season against both the Ducks and the Beavers, losing by 33 and 3 points, respectively.

It feels like just yesterday that UC Davis was in town to open the season in Haas Pavilion, but this past weekend ushered in the final two home games of the season.

The Bears played with close to their ideal lineup, considering the players available for the rest of the season, and actually put together extended spells of good basketball — two factors that have rarely coincided this season. It just wasn’t enough.

Bears, wake up — it’s time to watch another Cal basketball loss!

The only time since the turn of the century that Cal swept Stanford in basketball was the 2010 season. The Bears will look to break out the brooms once more in Palo Alto on Friday. Here’s to making history.
