Coming off its first conference series win of the season against the Utah Utes, Cal baseball continued its hot streak Tuesday night, blowing out the USF Dons 17-3.

Cal baseball continued to struggle against conference opponents this weekend, getting swept by eighth-seeded rival Stanford.

The Bears got back on track with two resounding midweek victories — 14-2 over Nevada and 9-3 over Saint Mary’s. Cal now boasts an 11-3 non-conference record, a sign of a solid club, if not the nearly completely opposite 3-12 conference record.

Struggling heavily in Pac-12 play this season, the Bears take a break from playing their conference counterparts to take on Nevada and Saint Mary’s.

Problems continued to pester Cal this past weekend as the blue and gold fell to 3-9 in Pac-12 standings after a tough series against Arizona State.

The Bears continue to struggle against conference competitors, losing an away series to the Beavers in what could turn out to be a decisive set of games in determining the Pac-12 later this year.

Currently 1-5 in Pac-12 play after dropping two of three games against the Trojans, the Bears take on Saint Mary’s and Oregon State in an attempt to find the success they had earlier on in the season.

Currently winless in Pac-12 conference play, Cal will take on USC at home for a three-game series.

Cal sits at 8-6 after dropping three in a row to Arizona, falling victim to the Wildcats’ offense and solid pitching performances.
