Amid the pandemic-influenced economic downturn, the warning issued by two campus professors about a potential crisis in the mortgage industry in their 2018 paper may come to fruition.

The latest numbers, calculated from March 31 to June 30, show a loss of 77 sold seats. The report noted, however, that 32 additional seats were sold in the two months after this quarter, bumping the total number to 1,812 out of an available 2,902 seats.

A quarterly financial report released Friday shows that sales from Cal Athletics’ Endowment Seating Program have not kept pace with initial projections.
