UC Berkeley’s Public Service Center received a $1.8 million grant to support the #CaliforniansForAll College Corps to support student community service.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom launched a college service program that provides community service opportunities for college students in exchange for $10,000 fellowships.

With the lure of winter break right around the corner, crowds of UC Berkeley students can be found hunched over laptops in libraries, cramming lectures and pulling all-nighters in preparation for their final exams.

In light of National Voter Education Week from Monday to Friday, campus senior Srija Manchkanti created a free course for all UC Berkeley students to access voter information.

Many UC Berkeley residence halls will be without power and student services will be closed due to the PG&E power shutdown, according to a campus-wide email sent this morning.

Four referendums are on the ballot for the 2017 ASUC election.

The ASUC Senate held a special meeting Sunday to make up for its last Wednesday meeting — which was canceled because of safety concerns regarding the shelter-in-place on campus — and passed three resolutions, including a resolution calling for UC Regent Norman Pattiz’s resignation and another adding a referendum to April’s election ballot.
