Proposition 14

Out of the 12 propositions on the ballot, three have been approved by voters and five have failed while the rest remain uncertain, as of press time.

Passing Prop. 14 would be an important step toward saving lives from incurable diseases.

As a public institution serving youth, UC Berkeley and the entire UC system must capitalize on this political fervor and give students the time to vote. 

If passed in November, Proposition 14 will authorize $5.5 billion dollars in general obligation bonds to fund the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine’s, or CIRM’s, stem cell research grants.
