Taking classic holiday cheer and elevating its bravado, "Holiday Gaiety" was an unapologetic celebration of queer culture and talent, ensuring that the love of the holiday season meant love for all.

From the release of her first movie “The Jinkx and Dela Holiday Special” last December to the already-bustling preparations of her 2021 holiday tour with longtime collaborator Jinkx Monsoon, BenDeLaCreme is constantly bearing the weight of her holiday queen crown.

“Ben and I found a lot of nuance in our performance and a lot of new things to add to the performance since the first time we did it in San Francisco, so we’re really excited to bring it back to San Francisco with everything we’ve learned in the U.K.,” Monsoon said.

“FEMLINS!” comes as the latest entry in the string of parodies staged by Christ at The Castro Theatre.

Detox hasn’t performed in a theatrical production like Christ’s since 2011 and welcomes her involvement in “Femlins” as a fun challenge.

“Bring It On, Queen!” featured a variety of San Francisco-based queens as well as a selection of international drag superstars.

It felt less like a formal gathering and more like the organic coming together of individuals invested in the celebration of queer art.

Besides the small blunders which were likely worked out in subsequent shows, “The First Wives Fight Club” dazzled and stunned.
