The night of our fifteenth trip to the movie theaters this summer, you asked me one of those questions you tend to ask. "What was it like for the people who went to the first movie theater?"

Happy Barbenheimer for those who celebrated! For those who didn’t, you definitely missed out on an amazing cultural experience.

We are disappointed that Berkeley approved a surveillance program that goes against its values, ignores history and poses a threat to the civil rights and freedom of community members. 

I love movies about real, extraordinary people. In honor of the “Oppenheimer” release, these are my favorite movies (and one show) also based on a true story.

UC Berkeley’s College of Letters and Sciences hosted a panel discussion about J. Robert Oppenheimer following the release of Christopher Nolan’s biopic about the infamous physicist.

The movies are about personal struggles. Struggles that no one else can seemingly relate to, but that others face. It’s about those facades that we put up, and how others relate to them.
