Around the 1960’s, students throughout the UC system would pay next to nothing for an education. So why did the price increase? Have UC students gotten more? Is the amount we are paying right now worth it?

While budget cuts and deficits are temporary setbacks in the UC system, it is important to note that extinguishing the flame of education is equally catastrophic as it is permanent.

We wish we could make an honest living doing the things we truly love: those that involve the least amount of work. If only life were that easy.

Fighting against tuition increases and, at times, their own exhaustion, students and community activists continued to occupy Wheeler Hall and protest throughout campus Thursday.
