Part of being hyperaware of your body from a young age comes with an underlying sense of hatred. I hated feeling eyes on my body.

Being a sugar baby goes beyond just superficial beauty. It’s almost a talent, a display of confidence, to capitalize on men’s desires to fulfill a “daddy” or protector role.

Objectification stops women from expressing themselves before they even do so. It censors my Instagram posts, my clothing choices, my self-expression.

I allowed myself to be violated, offended, objectified, dissected, because I didn’t think I held enough worth to deserve to live my life on my own terms.

“Baywatch” is obviously preoccupied with bodies, and overtly upholds rigidly gendered standards: huge muscles for men and tiny waists for women. It misses any opportunity to subvert the now-stale sexism of the original television series.
