Nixle alert

After a gray Nissan Maxima was stolen, a California Highway Patrol, or CHP, Golden Gate Division helicopter followed the vehicle as it traveled westbound on the I-80 toward University Ave at about 100 mph, according to a CHP press release.  

About 11:37 a.m. Tuesday, the Berkeley Police Department posted on Twitter that previously missing "at risk" person, 67-year-old Elaine Young-Igie, has been found and is safe.

A fatal collision occurred at University Avenue and Sixth Street on Jan. 20, the suspect of the incident was identified as Alexander McGee, who is now in custody.
