Controversial conservative writer Milo Yiannopoulos spoke to a crowd of about 50 people on UC Berkeley's Sproul Plaza on Sunday before hurriedly leaving campus on what would have been the first day of the now-canceled "Free Speech Week."

Representatives of campus publication the Berkeley Patriot have informed UC Berkeley administration that all of the events scheduled for the upcoming week have been canceled, according to campus spokesperson Dan Mogulof.

Despite several media outlets reporting Friday that campus publication The Berkeley Patriot has canceled “Free Speech Week,” the Berkeley Patriot editor in chief Mike Wright said in a text message that the event is still on.

“I think that you’re a prick who claims date rape doesn’t exist,” Seeling said in the Facebook message. “If yes, f*** you up the a** with a poisoned broomstick c***s***. We s*** in your mouth.”
