After losing four players to the transfer portal, including star guard Jayda Curry, Cal reinforces its 2023-2024 roster with four new transfers of its own.

The sophomore combo-guard from Corona, California, who has led her team in points since 2021 and whose image is plastered around the UC Berkeley campus, has decided to part ways with Cal.

After an excellent first half full of life and energy, the Bears fell apart in the third and fourth quarter as they were defeated 61-49. This marks the third year in a row Cal women’s basketball has failed to get past the first round of the tournament.

After an up and down year, the Bears head to Las Vegas for the 2023 Pac-12 Tournament, set to play Washington State in the first round, with their season on the line.

With rematches versus the Bruins and the Trojans this weekend, Cal women’s basketball hopes to finish the season with a winning record at home in what has otherwise been an underwhelming year.

Cal women’s basketball split the weekend, losing to Oregon but besting Oregon State. With both games coming down to the wire, the Bears finally came up clutch to earn their second Pac-12 victory of the season.

Stuck in a five game losing streak, it’s clear that the Bears have stumbled in Pac-12 play. They are in desperate need of some wins versus the Ducks and the Beavers this week.
