A large crowd – including the Cal band – packed Witter Rugby Field’s stands to see the Bears defeat the reigning D1A champions in Army.

To a crowd full of supporters for Parents Weekend, Cal began to pull away at the end of the first half to blow out the Bruins.

Despite heavy rain in Strawberry Canyon, the 22 Bears playing at Witter Rugby Field ran their usual offensive game plan nearly to perfection to thrash Grand Canyon in an impressive 69-7 victory.

Not only did the newcomers offer Cal fans an entertaining afternoon with ten different try scorers, but they proved they could run an entire game without enduring the slightest adversary pressure.
