The Pac-12 Preview set the stage for Cal to prove themselves against some of the top teams in the country, but the Bears once again fell short of a top finish.

Cal continues its tough slate of tournaments with a trip to the Stanford Invitational, which features multiple top 20 teams.

The Cal women’s golf team is looking to make a statement this week as it makes its 20th straight trip to the NCAA Regionals.

In the Pac-12 tournament, Zhu and Oh will be the players to watch for the Bears. Both players have been exceptional in their performances this season.

Despite the difficult start to the tournament, the Bears showed promise in their ability to rally together and climb up the leaderboard.

On Monday, the first day of the event, senior Cindy Oh tied a Cal record by shooting 6 under par on the day. This left her in first place in the individual rankings after one day of action and placed her name in the Cal record books.

The tough competition is apparent this November as Cal, currently ranked 49th, is the third-lowest ranked team in the tournament, only ahead of Washington State and Hawaii.

The inaugural Big Match was a four-ball contest played at Menlo Country Club. Cal sent six pairs, each with a representative from the men’s and women’s teams (with the exception of one pair in which both members were from the women’s team) to compete against six Stanford pairs.
