Almost a year after being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, for lack of documentation, UC Berkeley student and campus senior Luis Mora received his U.S. employment authorization.

Prerna Lal, the only immigration attorney for UC Berkeley’s Undocumented Student Program, or USP, announced their resignation in a Facebook post Monday.

Undocumented Luis Mora was held in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody and detained at Otay Mesa Detention Center for two weeks and is now being featured in a documentary that will chronicle his experiences during and after detention.
