Bolstered by a rise in voter turnout, both referenda on the 2023 ASUC ballot passed Friday night and secured funds for public transportation and the Graduate Assembly.

Last Friday, ASUC election tabulations revealed that the GA Fee had failed, a reality that the GA is all too familiar with.

Of the two referendums on the 2022 ASUC ballot, only the Save the Daily Cal Initiative passed, leading to funds for The Daily Californian.

During the Graduate Assembly's meeting Thursday, delegates and guests discussed the future and how to promote equity on campus for groups such as Indigenous students.

The Graduate Assembly held elections for its executive board for next year via Zoom, while elections for the Graduate Council were postponed until May. Despite the meeting being held remotely, procedures, discussions and votes were able to occur similarly to regular in-person meetings.

Now former ASUC associate justice José Marrero Rosado resigned at last week’s senate meeting, citing "illegitimacy" within the student government.

Five newly appointed justices joined the four remaining justices at the ASUC Judicial Council meeting Monday to reorganize after last month’s resignations and rule on the appeal request from Student Action after the party's disqualification.
