After an ankle injury sustained in a pre-draft workout, former Bear Ivan Rabb is set to be re-evaluated and potentially make his debut for the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League.

Cal basketball alumni Jaylen Brown, Jabari Bird and Ivan Rabb will participate in the NBA Summer League this July, the former two playing for the Boston Celtics and the latter playing for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Over 78 games with the Boston Celtics, Brown averaged 6.6/2.8/0.8 (points, rebounds, assists) on .454/.341/.685 (field goal percentage, three-point percentage, free throw percentage) shooting.

Uribe, a first-generation Latinx student, said he was motivated to enroll in Summer Bridge last summer to better prepare for the rigor of college.

Brown had the physical tools and athleticism heading into the league, and now equipped with the mental and emotional intangibles required to excel in basketball, he will soon flourish into a fearsome competitor.
