I Am Not Okay With This

All of these shows have one common denominator: They displayed a queer storyline that was just starting to blossom, and then, despite their popularity, they were axed. 

There’s an argument to be made that many, maybe even most shows are at their best in earlier seasons, when the magic is still new to viewers. 

After watching "Stranger Things," I got to thinking about the other sci-fi shows I’ve watched on Netflix, and here are the ones that come to mind!

The show’s recurring leans on genre-based nostalgia conjure up purely predictable charm, but “I Am Not Okay With This” nevertheless finds its strength in refreshing updates of this trope-y familiarity.
