More than 2,300 people have signed a petition demanding a partial fee reimbursement from campus to compensate for the changes and difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as of press time.

The Womxn of Color Initiative, or WOCI, is a group that organizes events for and helps support academic and professional women of color. WOCI is also a project funded by the Graduate Assembly, a representative body for graduate and professional students on campus.

Gender diversity in campus faculty has been increasing over the past 40 years, but many women still face challenges with recognition and access to opportunities.

From April 6-8, the 2020 ASUC elections provide students with the opportunity to vote for candidates and two propositions: the Class Pass Student Fee Renewal and Graduate Student Government Independence referendums.

Cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA, advocates and graduate students hosted a “COLA party” on Sproul Plaza on March 3, ending in a meeting between student organizers and UC Berkeley administration.

Berkeley City Council is scheduled to vote on referring a plan for installing additional street lighting to areas surrounding campus to the Public Works Commission at its regular meeting Feb. 25.

The GA has already unanimously voted to add the independence proposition to the 2020 ballot, but its members will need to ensure that the proposition comes to fruition.
