Whether you’re new to the Berkeley area or have been living here your whole life, there is plenty to do around the city and surrounding areas. I have really grown to love Berkeley and all the fun events it has to offer. I hope these ideas help you cure your boredom and fall in love with this amazing area. 

Located in the historic Golden Gate Park, the San Francisco-based sonic celebration brought a lush lineup to celebrate its 15th anniversary, with artists ranging from prophetic rappers to Americana alt-pop stars to renowned rock bands.

Openers Janelle Monáe, Willow, Alex G and Ethel Cain filled Golden Gate Park with splendent soul before headliners Kendrick Lamar and Zedd took their stages on the exhilarating first night of the music festival.

Before Lana Del Rey blessed Twin Peaks and the Foo Fighters battled Lands End, openers Father John Misty, Conan Gray, L’Impératrice, NIKI, Orion Sun, Alvvays and Wednesday delivered radiant performances that cut through the Saturday gloom.

On the final day of the festival, openers Megan Thee Stallion, Noah Kahan, beabadoobee, Grace Ives and Inhaler stunned with swagger and playful charm as headliners The 1975 and Odesza conjured a breathtaking finale to Outside Lands 2023.

As the team is warming up for the rest of the season, its freshmen are warming up to the team: Cal’s newest cubs showed great results in their first bout.

For The Backseat Lovers, spontaneity takes the wheel. Always on the road, much of their songwriting now occurs during impromptu soundcheck jams.

Dust settled, fog lifted and fireworks flared in San Francisco to welcome headliners SZA, Green Day, Post Malone and other sensational acts August 5 to 7.

Friday boasted not only the most unreal and cathartic sets of the weekend, but also a selfie between a headliner and a stage crasher.

On Saturday, Green Day returned to the Bay Area for a special headliner homecoming performance, and Kali Uchis and Rina Sawayama served divine, slayful sets at Twin Peaks.
