Crowd surfers: You’re the worst. Here’s why.
Crowd surfing has been around for almost 50 years in the communities of any edgy genre you can think of — rock, punk, metal, ska, post-hardcore and the like. If you’ve ever been toward the front of the crowd at one of those concerts, you’ve probably been kicked in the head by more than a few pairs of Dr. Martens.

Berkeley-born Mom Jeans. returns home for sold-out show
The band gave an overall laid-back performance, and the audience members could tell that Mom Jeans. was nothing but comfortable being back on the Cornerstone stage. The musicians never hesitated to joke around with each other or with the audience.

On April 22, 1914, then-UC President Benjamin Ide Wheeler spoke to members of the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity at their founding banquet in Hotel Shattuck, wishing them the best as they transformed their small club into a national organization.
