I try not to mourn the time I cannot control. I try not to obsess over and over again about the inevitable. So, as much as I tried, I watched my birthday cake rot in my fridge for a year, until it was all over.

Though the raft of reasoning I'd constructed while adrift was strong enough to weather the usual mood swells and wind, I was ignorant of just how bad things could get.

Instead of burying 2022 in the past, let the lessons you learned live on to empower you in 2023. Your previous challenges equip you for your current endeavors.

The singular dimension we travel through doesn’t allow us to bring the past back in all its authenticity. But we can revisit the past, and sometimes take hold of its malleability, simply reimagining it.

When time warped in on itself and I stepped into another dimension, I didn’t anticipate the whiplash that demanded to be felt.

Still, the journey to joy is riddled with obstacles and illusions. Happiness is subjective to time, identity and experience. Though my current perception of happiness will surely change in the future, I know there will forever remain sources I cannot outgrow.

It won’t be without tension, but when we cash in at graduation, we would have stacked the deck in favor of Cal, in Color, more than it was when we first sat down.

Plastics remain in our environment forever. But the Berkeley community is uniquely qualified to lead the charge against single-use plastics.

Now is the time to move from the park being a volatile point of controversy to developing a feasible plan of action based on cooperation between the University of California and the people of the city that hosts its flagship campus.
