If a person’s reasoning for endorsing a vegan diet is based on the idea that it significantly impacts greenhouse gas emissions, it may be time to rethink.

Millions of Californians are breathing air so dirty it is illegal. Coupled with other impacts of the climate crisis, the need for action is clear. 

We cannot be a progressive city without making a shift to using renewable forms of energy. Although dozens of U.S. cities have already pledged to purchase electric buses, Berkeley still has the opportunity to lead the effort in a switch to alternative forms of energy.
