Though the Cougars set nine season-best times, the No. 5 Bears notched wins in 13 of 14 events, comfortably seeing off Washington State by a score of 158-95.

The swimmers slated to compete, however, seemed completely unfazed by the change in climate. For them, it was business as usual — another fast start to a season at the top of the table.

The Bears brought the speed and came away with the satisfaction at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational, as Cal women’s swim topped 15 of 18 events en route to a comfortable win in Fresno last weekend.
