In response to the increasing spread of misinformation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, UC Berkeley hosted a virtual panel of experts who spoke about how misinformation impacts people's responses to the pandemic, as well as potential ways to combat this misinformation.

Doug Tygar — a UC Berkeley School of Information and electrical engineering and computer sciences department professor — unexpectedly died Jan. 16 at the age of 57.

Campus community members gathered in the Sibley Auditorium on Monday to discuss signature initiatives surrounding sustainability, equality and artificial intelligence at a town hall sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research.

Earlier this year, UC Berkeley became the first college in the nation to publish a transparency report detailing nonconsensual requests for electronic communications.
