With DACA’s survival, the nation might turn its attention elsewhere, thinking immigrants safe. That would be a disastrous mistake.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the UC Board of Regents on Thursday, finding that President Donald Trump’s decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program was “arbitrary.”

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Thursday in favor of the UC system and upheld protections for people with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status. 

The UC and CSU systems will give emergency funds to undocumented students, who were excluded from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, which allowed qualifying citizens to receive national stimulus checks.

Campus reaffirmed its support for the undocumented community through a campuswide email Monday, offering resources for those with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, status and other undocumented individuals.

On March 12, REBUILD released the second portion of its senate candidates — Natasha Ham, Tessa Stapp and Alexis Aguilar — for the upcoming ASUC election.

Since the election of Donald Trump, schools all around the country have had more frequent incidents threatening the health and safety of minority students.
