After narrowly losing to Stanford in their season closer last year, the Bears are back with a vengeance. They host the Cardinal at Spieker Aquatics Complex this Saturday.

In a game that seemed to be heading in the wrong direction, Cal was able to make a 5-point comeback in the last six minutes of the game to win the national championship for the second year in a row.

Bears attempt for their next back-to-back NCAA Championship; Cal will enter as the No. 1 seed and begin the tournament in the semifinals.

The Bears fell to Stanford at the MPSF championships, placing third in the competition but ultimately coming out as the No.1 seed for the NCAA championships.

Cal heads straight into the MPSF quarterfinals Friday and will play Penn State Behrend in its first game.

Building upon its momentum following the Pac-12 championships, Cal men’s swim and dive bested its rival, Texas, to bring home a national championship.

After falling to Stanford in its first loss of the regular season, Cal looks to bounce back stronger in the Pac-12 championship.

After Cal’s historic performance at the Pac-12 championships three weeks ago, the Bears look to the NCAA championships and their second consecutive national title.

“There were a lot of big improvements throughout the year, and all three fought really hard today and made our program proud,” said head coach Amanda Augustus.
