California State Assembly District 15

Incumbent Buffy Wicks won against opponent Sara Brink with 85.9% of the vote for the District 15 seat of the California State Assembly, as of press time.

Democratic incumbent Buffy Wicks currently takes the lead with a majority of the votes, while the race between Republican candidate Jeanne Solnordal and independent candidate Sara Brink for the second spot in the general election remains close.

Democratic incumbent Buffy Wicks is running against Republican candidate Jeanne Solnordal and independent candidate Sara Brink to represent California State Assembly District 15 in the upcoming March primaries.

The California State Assembly passed Assembly Joint Resolution No. 41, or AJR 41, on June 25, which requests Congress and the President to repeal the Government Pension Offset and the Windfall Elimination Provision from the Social Security Act.

Ten out of the 12 candidates vying for the Assembly seat were present at the public forum, which was hosted by The League of Women Voters, including Buffy Wicks, Owen Poindexter, Ben Bartlett, Cheryl Sudduth, Jovanka Beckles, Raquella Thaman, Rochelle Pardue-Okimoto, Dan Kalb, Andy Katz and Sergey Piterman.

The race for the California State Assembly District 15 election has attracted a large pool of 12 candidates, all with diverse and multifaceted platforms. But Assembly District 15 residents need a representative who can prioritize education, as it becomes increasingly inaccessible. That candidate is Judy Appel.

A poll commissioned by the Ben Bartlett campaign found that Bartlett holds a slight lead over a large field of candidates for Assembly District 15.

Three more candidates have entered the already tight race for the CA State Assembly District 15 seat, bringing the total number of candidates up to 12.

UC Berkeley sophomore Pranav Jandhyala is running for California State Assembly District 15 as the only republican on the ballot, among 12 other candidates.
