FTX and campus announced the 10-year, $17.5 million naming rights deal last August. As part of the deal, LEARFIELD’s Cal Bears Sports Properties, Cal Athletics’ multimedia rights holder, agreed to accept the payment in cryptocurrency, according to a press release announcing the start of the deal.

One of the longest standing collegiate broadcast partnerships, Cal Athletics and KGO radio, will continue to build upon their legacy in a renewed agreement to air Bear football and men’s basketball through the 2019-20 seasons.

If the campus decides to allocate the space above the new parking structure to an additional football practice facility, it must demonstrate an immediate and substantial need for doing so.
