MLK Jr. Student Union and Eshleman Hall will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The student union will be open to the public 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. 

Campus freshman Thin Rati Oo is running independently for ASUC Senate on platforms centered on international student issues, pre-law resources and campus life.

It is clear that UC Berkeley administrative leadership has much work to do regarding its response to COVID-19 and the many challenges it creates surrounding in-person instruction.

As UC Berkeley prepares to return to its first in-person semester since spring 2020, many in-person student services will resume before the fall.

The Recreational Sports Facility reopened Monday for limited in-person operations for UC Berkeley students.

While new cases of COVID-19 in Berkeley are declining, UC Berkeley extended the self-sequester mandate for all students living in residence halls through at least Feb. 15 to ensure containment of the current surge.

UC Berkeley’s libraries, Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union and Eshleman Hall are gradually implementing services and reopening physical spaces to support students.

The UC Berkeley Library will provide a contactless pickup service for all borrowers who have Cal 1 Cards or campus library cards.

Many student services are still being offered online or with limited operational hours, as students work on schoolwork from home and as in-person campus operations are closed.

UC Berkeley announced Monday a new pilot supplemental food assistance card program as an additional component to the current Food Assistance Program.
