ASUC senators introduced three new resolutions for committee vote during the weekly senate meeting Wednesday, including postponement of Anthropology Library closure.

The ASUC Senate passed a resolution against caste-based discrimination and heard updates from officials at their regular meeting Wednesday. 

The ASUC Senate passed a motion to reintroduce a bill in support of a campuswide ban on the use of latex products for amendments after ASUC President Yordanos Defen issued a presidential veto last Wednesday.

The ASUC Senate deliberated on a resolution that would establish a BART affordability working group at its meeting Wednesday evening, ultimately passing it with a tight 10-9 vote.

The ASUC Senate’s three standing committees convened Monday night for the first time this year, launching discussions of future compensation for ASUC senators and a student-led sexual assault commission.

At its weekly meeting Monday, the ASUC Senate’s Governance and Internal Affairs Committee unanimously decided to postpone discussion on all bills put forth for consideration, three of which were populated with filler text when discussed.
