ASUC Elections

As an independent candidate for ASUC Senate, intended political science and economics major and campus freshman Mark Basta focuses on dining initiatives, pre-law support, ASUC and campus transparency and safety.

Last Friday, ASUC election tabulations revealed that the GA Fee had failed, a reality that the GA is all too familiar with.

In this pivotal year to come, UC Berkeley students not only deserve but require representatives who are understandable, knowledgeable, dedicated, determined and tenacious.

Students often think of March and April as a time to take midterms, party over spring break and reluctantly come back to class the next week.

Voting yes on the Save the Daily Cal Initiative will maintain this free public service for the Berkeley community and allow the Daily Cal to continue producing content.

The Daily Californian will continually update this page as results from the 2021 general elections come in. The tabulations ceremony will happen at 6 p.m. on Zoom.

Current ASUC officials need to work on granting students more say in its day-to-day affairs.

Next year’s executive offices will be filled by independent candidate Victoria Vera as president, current ASUC Senator Melvin Tangonan as executive vice president, current ASUC Senator Nicole Anyanwu as academic affairs vice president, current ASUC Senator Derek Imai as external affairs vice president and independent candidate Joyce Huchin as student advocate.
