After receiving several reports of a woman damaging cars with a windshield wiper, Berkeley Police Department detained Berkeley resident Dawn Carraway, 28, on Saturday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism of a motor vehicle and a probation violation.

People hoping to access the Downtown Berkeley BART entrance on Shattuck Avenue and Center Street will be disappointed. As part of a $7.6 million renovation effort, the main entrance’s characteristic rotunda has been torn down and is set to be replaced.
