It’s time to break free from our misconceptions of watching foreign language movies and embrace new and unique styles of filmmaking and cross-cultural ideas.

As the night progressed, viewers saw the expected winners triumph in the acting categories, while the night’s top awards saw stunning, historic upsets.    

Even though the film currently occupies a relatively distant second place, “Parasite” still has a chance to pull a major upset, however.

At least “Toy Story 4” has a mildly acceptable plot, whereas the storytelling choices in “Frozen 2” leave much to be desired.

Whether you’ve seen every nominated film or are wondering what the Oscars are, we at the Clog want to make sure you are prepared for Hollywood’s big night.

In a year in which creative and original stories featuring artists of color received critical praise and connected with viewers, it’s a shame that they are not being recognized alongside films and performances that feature mainly white actors.

To make up for their snubs, we’re once again doing our part to recognize the best LGBTQ+ films released last year.

Our list of people who should have hosted the 2020 Oscars ceremony includes actors, actresses, musicians and potent personalities who have the right amount of skill and charisma to do the job. 

The subtle pushback against Netflix in the major races was especially evident in the screenplay and acting categories at the Globes.
