No. 9 Cal men’s gymnastics was able to master both fight and flight –– flying and fighting their way through the Pac-12 Invite, claiming second place.

After persevering through multiple obstacles thrown its way, the Cal men’s gymnastics is close to breaking the 400-point mark for the first time since 2019.

The Cal men’s gymnastics team, clad in blue and gold, stood out against the army of red and white that made up No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 1 Stanford.

Three spots to compete in the 2022 Winter Cup, a qualifying event for this year’s U.S. Gymnastics Championships, are up for the taking at the Stanford Open.

The blue and gold gave their 100% and began their season on a roll with a marginal victory – 382.100-310.900 over SC United — and eight athletes beating their personal records that night.

In spite of a somewhat disappointing showing at the MPSF Championships, the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Committee punched Cal's ticket for the NCAA Championships.

Despite earning a final team score of 390.600, Cal fell to Oklahoma, which garnered a team score of 404.700.
