After Cal’s optimistic showing at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships in Washington, it will race again Friday in Sacramento.

Jaylon Tyson's waiver for immediate appeal was granted Thursday, meaning the two-time transfer may hit the court much sooner than expected.

After two weeks of break, Cal hopes to engage in final tune-ups against Stanford before MPSF and NCAA Championships. The Bears enter this battle with an 18-4 record, having spent many of the recent games without star player Nikolaos Papanikolaou.

Following their impressive display against Pittsburgh in mid-October, the Bears took on the Stanford Cardinal in their non-team-scoring meet. The meet was almost evenly matched, with Cal taking home nine of the events, while Stanford’s swimmers took the other ten.

On its first weekend back in Haas Pavilion, Cal volleyball hoped to redeem its previous losses against the Washington teams but fell short once again.

The 1-0 Bears will play the second game of the Mark Madsen era at Haas Pavilion.

Cal head coach Mark Madsen announced on Wednesday that Jeremiah Wilkinson, a 6’1” guard from Georgia, signed with Cal for the 2024-25 season.

Despite the Bears’ notable loss of star guard Jayda Curry, Cal head coach Charmin Smith has said that her revamped team is better than last season. The Bears will look to make that further known against the Santa Clara Broncos.

Cal women’s basketball got off to a good start this season, taking down CSU Bakersfield handily, 89-56. Ioanna Krimili finished with 18 points in her debut to lead all scorers.

In anticipation of the spring season, Cal split its squad to head to ITA National Fall Championship and Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational, where the team posted a slew of wins and losses.
