Shannon Carroll is the Sports Editor for spring 2015. She began her career at the Daily Cal in the news department as a general assignment reporter and later as a beat reporter for the academics and administration beat. After switching to the sports department, she covered women's swim in the fall and baseball in the spring. She currently covers football, basketball and men's tennis.

The Golden Boy: Jared Goff, a potential dark horse Heisman candidate, has a lot riding on his shoulders
On the field, he’s “the Golden Boy.” He’s the guy who carries the weight of Cal fans’ hopes and expectations on his skinny shoulders. But off the field, he’s just Jared, the 20-year-old kid who is deathly afraid of roller coasters and loves to tell jokes to make his teammates laugh.
