Joseph Grinnell was the founding director of UC Berkeley’s Museum of Vertebrate Zoology who pioneered the method of taking detailed notes on birds while in the field. In a new study, researchers out of UC Berkeley retraced Joseph Grinnell’s footsteps to examine the impact of land use and climate change on bird populations.
