According to the campus, the park is “a haven for crime and disruption,” but all I saw was a peaceful picnic, couples enjoying a day out in the sun, people napping and a few guys smoking weed.

I think, in many ways, being in love is a lot like being in college. It is, without a doubt, beautiful, full of opportunities and an experience no one will ever forget. At the same time (and this is what movies and relatives don’t tell you about college or love), they will also cause you more pain than you can imagine.

The president’s use of language, whether in a speech or a tweet, inundates our politics with polarizing personal drama.

Slang: sometimes its use in publication is lit, but other times it gets wack, and, shall we say, corny? Maybe we should not.

Recently, my solution has been to write with a split mindset. The first is sporadic, energetic and only cares about spilling anything onto the page, proper grammar or not. The second tries to understand the first, refine its work, and yes, consult a stylebook.
