Managing Editor

J.D. Morris was The Daily Californian's managing editor for the fall 2013 and spring 2014 semesters. He oversees all editorial content online and in print and runs the day-to-day operations of the newsroom. Prior to becoming managing editor, he was the opinion editor for the fall 2012 and spring 2013 semesters; an editorial he wrote in that capacity won a third place award from the California College Media Association in 2013. Additionally, he was the university news editor in spring 2012 and an assistant summer news editor in 2011. He joined the Daily Cal as a news reporter in fall 2010 and has also reported for The Orange County Register as an intern.
