Sling undoubtedly cements Clairo’s lofty place within the ranks of today’s indie pop girls, proving her intricate lyricism is not to be underestimated or outshined by her catchier songs.

The success of “Call Me By Your Name” proves that queer people are a powerful demographic for the music industry, which can only help queer artists of the future in making their songs even more queer-centered and truthful.

So the question remains: Is Marvel ready for outspoken queer visibility in its franchise?
