UCPD is conducting an investigation Monday after a deceased adult individual was found at the Rochdale Village Apartments, according to UCPD Lt. Nicolas Hernandez. 

Hernandez said UCPD responded to a report of an “unattended death” at 10:15 a.m., and noted there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances and no safety risk to residents. According to an email obtained by The Daily Californian, a Rochdale Village Apartments building manager alerted residents that police were on-site after an unidentified body was discovered. 

The Alameda County Coroner’s office is currently investigating, according to Hernandez, and there is no additional information at this time.
