A series of car burglaries and an unrelated sexual battery occurred Tuesday, according to two campus WarnMe alerts.
At 3 p.m. Tuesday, the car burglaries began with a robbery at Dwight Way and College Avenue, after which suspects entered the Upper Hearst parking structure and burglarized four vehicles. The same suspects then committed another robbery at Virginia Street and Scenic Avenue at gunpoint, according to the WarnMe.
The case is still under investigation.
According to a second and unrelated campus WarnMe sent out at 11:34 p.m., a sexual battery occurred at Clark Kerr Campus. The victim was grabbed by the buttocks and pushed to the ground by the suspect, who then left the scene.
The suspect was seen heading toward Warring Street and described as a male wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black face mask. He was also carrying a black backpack.
