The last assault, reported in a WarnMe sent out at 12:53 p.m., occurred at Unit 2 at 11:40 a.m. The suspect, an unidentified male, walked through the dormitories and grabbed a female student’s arm. According to the alert, the student managed to break free and is safe. The suspect was described as a white, heavily built male around 50 years old, wearing a blue raincoat.
On April 11, UCPD arrested the suspect, according to UCPD spokesperson Capt. Sabrina Reich. UCPD is currently investigating “multiple criminal cases” related to the suspect.
“UCPD will present evidence to the Alameda County District Attorney’s office for charging consideration,” Reich said in an email.
