UCPD is investigating a sexual battery reported at a UC Berkeley residential hall Thursday.

The incident occurred in Unit 2 Cunningham at approximately 1:30 p.m., according to a UC Berkeley WarnMe alert.

Sexual battery is defined as a type of sexual assault in which a person’s private body part is touched without their consent for the purpose of sexual gratification. This includes instances where the survivor is incapable of granting consent, according to the WarnMe alert.
